Sean Tyson

Head Coach, Director of Basketball Operations

 Sean brings over 20 years of experience as a top rated player development coach in all of Canada. Stemming from his days as a professional basketball player and coach to working with players in the provincial program. A first round 10th pick of the CBA Grand Rapids Hoops in 1991 Sean began his career working for the organization as a player development coach in 2002, He then moved on to the Great Lakes Storm (CBA) where he became the video coordinator and assistant coach for 2 seasons. He became the interim head coach in the 2004 season. In 2004-05 he was the assistant coach at Mercyhurst College. In 2015 he led Team Saskatchewan to a Bronze Medal finish at the Western Canada Summer Games. Sean was on the coaching staff at the U16 and U18  Canada National Assessment camps in 2018-19 He is currently the Technical Director for one of Saskatchewan's top basketball clubs Greenwave United. He has worked with several former NBA players 2 of whom that played in the 2015 World Champion Golden State Warriors organization. Sean has seen the development of several local standouts dating as far back as 2000. He was a member of the famed Baltimore Dunbar Poets who won the National Championship in 1985, He then went on to Clemson University where he won a ACC championship and appeared in 3 NCAA tournaments in 4 years at the school. Sean is a level 3 NCCP coach and received his BSc degree in Parks Recreation and Tourism Management
